Admissions for International Students

The Graduate School of Kyoto City University of Arts accepts applications from international students in the following course and degrees:

Non-degree Research Students (kenkyuryugakusei)

This course is for international students who wish to study/conduct research on a specific subject under the instruction of an academic staff. Since this is a non-degree course, research students are not eligible for obtaining Master/Doctor degrees. Research students who wish to continue their study at graduate level may apply to the Graduate Schools after a six-month enrolment period as a research student.

Master Program

The application for the Master Program 2016 is closed.

Concerning the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship

  • KCUA does not offer undergraduate courses for international students.
  • At our university, most courses and tutorials are taught in Japanese. Therefore, prospective students are required to have sufficient Japanese language skills to apply for admission.
