International Exchange Programs

Since 1989, KCUA has developed several international exchange programs in order to promote the exchange of ideas, persons and educational opportunities at an international level. In particular exchange programs for students are actively promoted. Currently we have 13 affiliated arts and music schools from all over the world, and students take part in mutual exchanges in every year.

In addition to the student exchange programs, guest researchers from abroad are also welcomed to work with faculty members for joint research projects and performances. Internationally renowned artists and musicians are also invited to host workshops and lectures for students. From 2011 KCUA, in collaboration with Kyoto Art Center, has developed an artist-in-residence program to invite international artists/musicians to promote cultural exchange among other artists, researchers, students and people from the local community.
