SHIKI Percussion Duo is a percussion duo currently based in Germany. The duo consists of Japanese percussionist Ayami Okamura and American percussionist and composer Dan deSimone. In 2015, the duo was formed and the two began their exploration of arranging a wide variety of music ranging from jazz, electronic, film, video game, and classical music arrangements for percussion as well as contemporary virtuosic and theatrical repertoire. Having met in Boston in 2014, Shiki has seen and performed on both the east and west coasts of the United States as well as two summer tours in Japan premièring new works by several well known composers.
